The Changing Past is an exhibition by Ali Banisadr that is on show at the Victoria Miro Gallery from 11 October to 11 November.
The Changing Past
The exhibition represents the artist’s first solo exhibition at the gallery, and consists of works created over the past two years.
Banisadr’s art combines references to Persian miniature tradition, Abstract Expressionism, Dutch masters, Venetian Renaissance and Surrealism on a single canvas. He weaves together the history of art and our own times in his works, inviting us to reimagine the present through the lens of the past.
Ali Banisadr
Born in Tehran, Iran in 1976, the artist now lives in New York. He has exhibited extensively worldwide. He joined the Victoria Miro Gallery in 2021.
Exhibition Times
The Changing Past will run from 11 October to 11 November 2023 at the Victoria Miro Gallery II in London.
