AIRE Ancient Baths to Open in Covent Garden
Mark Bibby Jackson Posted on 18th May 2021 AIRE Ancient Baths will open its first London property near Covent Garden this summer. The spa will be located in 2-3 Robert Street, just off the Strand and close to the Adelphi.
The AIRE ancient baths concept is inspired by the ancient tradition of bathing dating back to the Greek, Roman and Ottoman civilisations. However, the classic tradition of thermal baths has been given a contemporary facelift.
Amadeo Serra, CEO of AIRE Ancient Baths, says, “The idea to create AIRE Ancient Baths was born in Sevilla almost twenty years ago with the objective of recuperating an ancient tradition that had been lost throughout the centuries.”
AIRE London Covent Garden is the eighth property to join its portfolio following other spas in New York, Barcelona, Copenhagen and Seville.
“We are very excited about opening a new AIRE in London, one of the leading cities in the world,” says Serra. “We believe we have found the perfect location, right in the heart of central London, an area recognised on a worldwide scale for its culture, architecture and history. The thermal baths consist of the Tepidarium (36º), Caldarium (40º) Frigidarium (14º), steam bath Vaporium, the Balneum bath, and the salt bath Flotarium.
AIRE Ancient Baths London Treatments
Prices for the AIRE London spa start from £150 (single) and £320 (couples), including two hours in the thermal baths, and a 30-minute relaxing massage.
The two signature experiences on offer in the AIRE London spa are: The Himalayan Salt Experience, a body scrub, 60-minute massage with hot Himalayan salt stones (from £270); and The Wine Ritual, a private immersion into red wine in a tub and a grape seed oil massage (from £450). Both treatments will include the Ancient Thermal Bath experience.
