Liberty London’s new restaurant, Arthur’s, has opened on Floor 2, marking the completion of the iconic department store’s year-long renovation. Guests will relax in banquette seating, featuring warm brass and copper details, and plush upholstered velvet in alternating shades of midnight blue, teal green and dusty pink. Up above, reclaimed pendant lighting lends a sophisticated polish, while geometric wall paint provides vibrant accents.

Taking inspiration from Liberty London’s rich heritage, and its name from the pioneering man who founded it all, Arthur Liberty, Arthur’s brings guests a spectacular destination dining hotspot that fuses great food with contemporary, Art Deco surroundings.

Arthur’s has created a mouth-watering menu using artisanal produce from Liberty London’s Mini British Food Hall. Open Monday – Saturday (10.00 am – 7.00 pm) and Sundays (12.00 – 5.00 pm), seasonal dishes will feed busy shoppers looking for a bite to eat at brunch, friends searching for a special Afternoon Tea treat or colleagues wishing to relax with a cocktail after work.

The menu includes hearty main dishes of glazed chicken and pickled mushrooms; salmon poke; and quinoa and kale tabbouleh grilled haloumi; as well as open sandwiches of beetroot, cured salmon and avocado; or salt beef and fresh horseradish on rye or sourdough breads. Brunch bites include salmon, chive and free-range eggs with sourdough soldiers; and fresh waffles.

Sweets are freshly baked by the talented Ingrid Parfait, Arthur’s in-house baker, and include treats such as warm madeleines, pink lady cake, popcorn chocolate brownies and her famous carrot cake.

A toast to the new season is only two shakes away from behind Arthur’s new show-stopping bar! Visitors can sip one of Arthur’s signature Liberty Royal cocktails, selection of craft beers, chilled drinks or fruit juices from the elegant marble counter bar. The Art Deco design with hand-glazed diamond tiles of pastel pinks, greys and blues extends the length of the restaurant.

A trip to London’s quintessential department store wouldn’t be complete without a spot of Arthur’s Afternoon Tea. Choose from a selection of fine finger sandwiches, afternoon tea pastries and treats, plain or fruit scones, strawberry jam and Cornish clotted cream. Freshly brewed tea or coffee is included and guests can also indulge in a glass of Tattinger Champagne. Arthur’s Afternoon Tea is £20.95 per person and available daily from 3pm and all day on Sundays.
