Cockpit Summer Festival 2021
June 25, 2021 - July 4, 2021
Cockpit Arts will hold its summer festival in Holborn and Deptford over the weekends of 25 to 27 June and 2 to 4 July, 2021. The Cockpit Summer Festival will be held both online and in person, and will involve workshops, studio tours and talks, as well as an online shop.
Some 150 makers from disciplines as diverse as ceramics to textiles, jewellery and fashion will attend the festival. This allows Londoners to meet the capital’s amazing emerging craft talent that Cockpit Arts has helped support through the pandemic.

A special feature of this year’s festival is the Secret Postcard Sale which will feature more than 70 handmade artworks, involving ceramics and textiles around the theme of ‘community’ . Other highlights include: curated tours, makers’ taster workshop sessions and online talks.
Five makers will also share their projects in The Big Make, which will document the creation of their new pieces at the festival.
Annie Warburton, CEO Cockpit Arts, says, “There’s nothing I love more than seeing the delight on visitors’ faces as they discover this magical place for the first time and get immersed in its creative vitality. That’s why it’s been so hard being closed to the public over 18 long months – and why we’ve planned something very special for reopening for our Summer Festival this June.
“I’m tremendously proud that Cockpit has put our community first and supported 150 small businesses through those tough times. Join us this summer to celebrate the power of creativity to bring people together. We can’t wait to see you.”
